WELCOME TO PATIENT IMPACT - OUR STORIES; A BLOG RUN BY PATIENTS AND FOR PATIENTS, WHERE THEY CAN SHARE THEIR STORIES; THOSE OF SUCCESS, FAILURE, THOSE OF FRUSTRATION AND OF HOPE.

In the hustle and bustle of everyday life; it is easy to forget about the sufferings of others – not only the ones that are far, but those closest to us. More so for those suffering from chronic diseases, many of them live without the support they need, often because they do not want to “burden” those closest to them, or because they have become so accustomed to living in the isolation of their condition that they do not realise that the world needs to hear their stories;

The world needs to hear YOUR story.

We want to hear from you: what do you suffer from? How do you manage your condition? What were your experiences with healthcare professionals, insurers and with the wider community ? Tell us about your dreams, visions and plans.

This space is open to “Patients of the World” beyond boundaries. We want to build a community, with you, the Patient (and the Carer), in the centre of it.

This initiative was created in order to foster the “Patient Impact” within each and everyone’s community, but as well, on a wider scale, to reach out to organizations, authorities and healthcare representatives to draw their attention to individual needs, ultimately advocating for a more personalized and human approach to their disease, condition or disability, not only addressing their treatment but as well as catering for their quality of life.

We all know a patient. We are all potentially a patient!

Who are we?

We belong to a small family, spread across all five continents. From Australia, to the Middle East and North Africa, France and the U.S.

Like many families we suffer from our share of chronic, severe and less severe diseases: hypertension, obesity, sleep apnea, NASH, chronic back pain and auto-immune diseases. We lost dear ones to Cancer, CardioVascular disease and stroke.

All these health problems summarise regular families’ lives with their struggle to show solidarity when someone is being diagnosed, combat the disease, to live with its ups and downs, to undergo the treatment cycles and ultimately mourn the loss of a dear one.

And now we want to hear from you.
